Rachel Hamilton

Rachel Hamilton’s debut novel was runner up in the Emirates Literature Festival’s Montegrappa First Fiction Competition and has gone on to win several other international awards. Since then, she has published seven books, including the Unicorn in New York series, which was chosen as part of the UK’s Summer Big Read.

Rachel is a familiar face at the festival, having attended every year, appearing both as an author and a moderator for authors including Nadiya Hussain, Kathy Hoopmann, Lucy Strange and Robin Stevens. She was also part of the Dubai Comedy Festival, with the Funny Girls stand up tour. She loves to make people laugh, especially when it’s intentional rather than accidental. Rachel currently divides her time between the UK and the UAE, where she enjoys making up funny stories for 5-12-year-olds.
