Zaid Adham is an Arab-Canadian writer, producer, and director. Influenced by the general ethereal atmosphere of his birth city, Amman, Zaid created and developed the concepts of Wayl and Abu Shakoosh in 2011. He then submitted them to the inaugural Middle East Film & Comic Con in 2012, where they won the first ever award for Best Original Artwork. Wayl #1 debuted at the 2016 Middle East Film & Comic Con, and was featured in articles by Gulf News, The National, and The Los Angeles Times. The 2017 convention saw the debut of Wayl #2, featuring the story of notorious Jordanian serial killer Abu Shakoosh to similar acclaim.
