Peter Frankopan is a British historian and professor of Global History at Oxford University, where he is the founding director of the Oxford Centre for Byzantine Research and Senior Research Fellow at Worcester College.
His book, The Silk Roads: A New History of the World, was named The Daily Telegraph’s History Book of the Year in 2015. It went to number one in the Sunday Times Non-Fiction charts and remained in the Top 10 for nine months in a row around the world. An illustrated edition was published in October 2018.
His new book, The New Silk Roads – The Present and Future of the World, examines life in 2018 and the changes that will have an impact on government, business and more.
