Melanie Swan

Melanie has been practicing yoga for 11 years and teaching for nearly six. She discovered the practice at a time when her work-life balance was at its lowest. A journalist by trade, she found yoga and meditation could help her to find balance and the deeper she took the practice, the more she realised its philosophy and teachings were a path simply to becoming a better human being. She teaches a dynamic vinyasa practice and has a personal practice of ashtanga, vinyasa, meditation and philosophy study. She has studied with teachers including Simon Borg-Olivier, Julie Martin and Ajay Kumar, and in Dubai, studies with Laura Farrier, Melissa Ghattas and Nea Ferrier, and her philosophy teacher Sreedharan. She teaches at Fairmont The Palm and Zen Yoga Dubai Media City in addition to private classes, while continuing to write prolifically.Melanie has been practicing yoga for 11 years and teaching for nearly six.
