Irish-born Marie Dullaghan is a retired education worker, with two adult sons. She describes herself as a ‘late developer’ who began her engagement with the arts when she was already half a century old,
Marie is a poet, photographer, musician, actor and writer. She has published in The Shop, The High Window, Swords Voices, Sukoon, and elsewhere. A member of both the Punch Collective and the Poeticians, she favours performance over the written word. She has had two solo exhibitions of photography; plays regularly at traditional music sessions, and was recently involved in professional theatre on the QE2. Her latest project is a fictionalised memoir that she hopes to publish as a collection of short stories.
Marie leads a migratory life, spending her time between Dubai, Essex, and Ireland. Not quite ready to shelve the suitcase yet, she’s off next week on new adventures in Malaysia.
