Malachy Tallack is a writer, editor and singer-songwriter from Scotland.
Malachy is the author of the acclaimed non-fiction titles Sixty Degrees North and The Un-Discovered Islands, both of which fuse nature writing, history and memoir. His first novel, The Valley at the Centre of the World, has been met with widespread praise for its portrayal of nature, community and island life, and was a BBC Radio 4 Book at Bedtime in 2018. He’s received the New Writers Award and the Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship for his work. He is also a contributing editor of The Island Review, an online magazine.
In the realm of music, he has released three folk-rock albums and an EP and has performed all over the United Kingdom.
