Laila Abdullah is anOmani writer and poet living in the UAE. She wrote a blog titled Breathe Quietly, and used to write a weekly column in the UK- based Omani and Arabic newspapers Al Roayah and Al-Arab. In 2014, she published two books, Supposed Love Letters between Henry Miller and Anais Nin and The Wonders of the World’s Room, and in 2016 a collection of stories entitled The Narrative Creatures. Her first novel, Farho’s Diaries, was published in 2018 and longlisted in 2019 for the Sheikh Zayed Book Award’s Young Author Category.
Her poetry has been translated into several languages, including Polish and Spanish.
