Jacqueline Wilson

Jacqueline Wilson always wanted to be a writer and wrote her first ‘novel’ when she was nine. She started work as a journalist before becoming a full-time writer.

Wilson is the author of award-winning children’s and young adult books including the Tracy Beaker series, Hetty Feather series, both adapted for television to critical acclaim, Opal Plumstead, her 100th book, among many others.

Her most recent books include Rent a Bridesmaid, Clover Moon, Wave Me Goodbye and Hetty Feather’s Christmas.

Over 40 million copies of Wilson’s books have now been sold in the UK alone and she has been translated into 34 languages.

Wilson received an OBE in 2002 for Services to Literacy in Schools, and a DBE in 2008.
