Omani author Huda Hamed holds a bachelor’s degree in Arabic literature from Aleppo University, Syria. She worked as a journalist on the cultural section of the Oman newspaper before beginning her current job as editor of Nazwa cultural magazine. She was also editor-in-chief of More Than Life, the first Omani online book review magazine.
Huda has published several novels including She Who Counts the Stairs, Cinderella of Muscat, Our Names and, most recently, Ponder the Wolf Outside the Make-up Room. Her short story collections are Naminmah Maliha, Not Exactly What I Want, Things are Not Where They Should Be and The Signal is Now Orange. She also wrote the scripts for some episodes of Day and Day, the first Omani animated TV Series.
