Ghaya Khalfan Al Dhahiri is a researcher of national documents at the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority. Ghaya obtained her Bachelors Degree in Anthropology from the University of Sussex in Brighton, England. Her passion for anthropology led her to specialize in the customs and traditions in the UAE.
From 2005 – 2011 she worked with UNESSCO as a guide to heritage and historical sites in Al Ain City. She was the first Emirati woman to walk to the top of Mount Hafeet on International Women’s Day in 2008.
