Elisabetta Dami

Elisabetta Dami is the creator of the hugely popular Geronimo Stilton, one of the most popular children’s book series of all time, with more than 170 million copies sold worldwide in more than 40 languages.

Geronimo’s globetrotting adventures were inspired by Elisabetta’s own life. She got her aircraft pilot and parachutist licences aged 20, and at 24 she travelled around the world on her own and completed a famous survival course at the Outward Bound School in Maine, in the United States. Some of her other adventures include traveling Africa from north to south in an off-road vehicle, running the 100km Sahara marathon, and volunteering in paediatric hospitals.

Elisabetta Dami is also President of Geronimo Stilton Foundation, which supports health and education projects for children in Italy and around the world.
