Eleanor Hooker

Award-winning poet and writer Eleanor Hooker has published two poetry collections, A Tug of Blue and The Shadow Owner’s Companion. Her third will be published in 2020 and she is working on a novel.

Eleanor began her career as a nurse and midwife, and holds an MPhil (Distinction) in Creative Writing from Trinity College, Dublin, an MA (Hons) in Cultural History from the University of Northumbria, and a BA (Hons 1st) from the Open University. Her prize-winning poetry and flash fiction has been published and broadcast internationally. Eleanor is a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London (FLS), and a helm on Lough Derg RNLI Lifeboat.
