Dana Dajani is an award-winning Palestinian writer, performer, and activist. She has performed on stages across the world, from Chicago’s storefront theaters to the Sydney Opera House. As a poet, Dana uses her theatrical background to give her spoken word a very performative edge.
Just 5 years after relocating to Dubai, Dana was honored as Emirates Woman “Artist of the Year” and received the Young Arab Award for Entertainment in 2016. She was also recognized by Stylist Arabia as one of the “50 Influential and Inspirational Women in the UAE”.
Additionally, Dana is a published author and poet, and can often be spotted performing her spoken-word poetry solo OR in a musical collaborations with various artists around the globe. Dana has released albums with two collaborations, Floetics, A freestyle riff on rhythm and rhyme; and type two error, a collaboration which fuses analogue electronic sounds and poetry.
