Cassandra Clare

Cassandra Clare is the best-selling author of the series The Shadowhunter Chronicles, which includes three trilogies and several companion novels.

City of Bones was Cassandra’s first published novel. It became The New York Times bestseller upon its release and won over 15 awards. The Shadowhunter Chronicles has been established as one of the most popular works read by a young adult audience and Publishers Weekly described it as an ‘urban fantasy packed with just about every type of creature known to the genre’. The series was on The New York Times bestseller list for 102 consecutive weeks up to 2013. The latest Shadowhunter book is Queen of Air and Darkness, with a new spinoff series co-authored with Wesley Chu, The Eldest Curses, set for release beginning of April 2019.

The first book in The Mortal Instruments series was made in to a film with Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower and a television adaptation of the series was made on Netflix and began airing in 2016.
