Ameera BuKadra

Ameera BuKadra is an Emirati author for children and young adults who holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Higher Colleges of Technology in Dubai. 

She has published a number of children’s stories, including My Grandmother’s Henna Tree and Good Night, which has been translated into English, in addition to the novel The Heart. She has also written several stories in the “World of Stories” segment in the Open Sesame programme: Raimona’s Favorite ScarfDabou LaughsA Strange Rock and The Crunchy Cake 

 Ameera worked with a group of Emirati writers on a book titled Emirati Folktales in cooperation withUAE Board on Books for Young People (UAEBBY) and the German Goethe Institute, which was published by the Sharjah Heritage Institute.
