The Emirates LitFest Workshop and Masterclass Programme is one of the most popular parts of the Festival: a chance to get practical advice from leading writers, illustrators and tutors in a wide range of subjects, as well as personal insights gained from the tutors’ own individual experience. There are classes for children and adults and they’re tailored to different levels of skill – from the novice starting out on their creative journey – to those with some experience now wishing to develop their talent.

So, whether you’re an aspiring novelist, an embryonic poet, want to become a children’s book illustrator or a radio news reporter, to develop your presentation skills or bring Shakespeare alive in the classroom…and much more, there will be something for you.

Please note that certain workshops may have particular requirements, either in the form of age restrictions or requiring particular skills or knowledge.
