Tune in to Dubai Eye 103.8 at 1pm today to hear Isobel Abulhoul interviewing Alastair Reynolds about his new book, Blue Remembered Earth.

Alastair Reynolds is best known for the Revelation Space series, the first book of which was recently chosen by his publisher, Orion, as one of their 20 most significant titles.

Blue Remembered Earth is set on a 22nd Century Earth controlled by the omniscient Mechanism, which maintains a prosperous and advanced utopian society. Geoffrey Akinya, a researcher in elephant cognition, is asked to investigate a secret left behind by his late grandmother – a secret that could change the future of mankind.

Alastair Reynolds will speak at the 2012 Emirates LitFest on Saturday 10 March at 4:30pm. His talk, ‘Beyond Rocket Science’, will touch on his scientific and literary careers, and will be a chance for fans to ask their own questions about Blue Remembered Earth.
